December 16th, The Hugo-Distler-Choir performed 'Heyr þú oss himnum á' at an advent concert with a selection of Nordic choir music in Berlin, Germany. Click here for more information about the concert.
November 30th, I, IV & V from the audio/video piece Orchestronics were performed at the Far Out SUAL! 2012 festival in Vienna. See here for the full festival program.
November 11th, Hugleiðing was performed by Kristín Mjöll Jakobsdóttir at the 15:15 music series at the Nordic House in Reykjavik, Iceland.
November 17th, Hrim was performed by the BIT20 Ensemble in Bergen, Norway, conducted by Baldur Brönnimann.
November 1st, Anna gave a presentation on her music at the Helsinki Music Centre in Finland, at 1PM, as a part of the Sibelius Academy Lecture Series on Contemporary Music and the Nordic culture festival TING
Anna received the Nordic Council Music Prize in Helsinki on October 31st.
September 9th, Hrim was performed by the BIT20 Ensemble, conducted by Pascal Rophé, on the Ultima Festival in Oslo, Norway.
August 6th, Heyr þú oss himnum á was performed by Mótettukór Hallgrímskirkju Choir in Reykjavik.
June 9th, music recording session for Anna’s film score for the Icelandic movie XL, directed by Marteinn Thorsson. Screenplay by Marteinn Thorsson and Guðmundur Oskarsson.
June 5th, Nordic Council Music Prize announces Anna as the recepient of The Nordic Council Music Prize 2012.
June 5th, Duo Harpverk will performed Particles at Rosenberg in Reykjavik.
May 23rd, Anna gave an electronic portrait performance - Orchestronics - at the Reykjavik Arts Festival. The performance featured electronic music and video art performed by the composer herself and special guest appearance by LA based innovator and experimental DJ Mike Gao. The music featured new electronic pieces constructed from Anna’s orchestral pieces, primarily taken from Rhízōma.
May 25th, the Wien Motet Choir performed Heyr þú oss himnum á at the Otto Wagner Church in Wien conducted by Andreas Peterl.
March 18th, NorthArc Ensemble premiered -aura- in Reykjavik. This concert was the first in their tour, Strike/Illuminate.
January 27th, CAPUT Ensemble gave a portrait concert of Anna’s music on the Dark Music Days Festival at Harpa in Reykjavik, Iceland, where a selection of her pieces was performed, ranging from solos to chamber orchestra pieces.
January 28th, pianist Tinna Þorsteinsdóttir premiered scape on the Dark Music Days Festival at Harpa in Reykjavik, Iceland.
